Album: The Shining, by J Dilla, on which his song e=mc2 appears.
How has e=mc2 affected you?
The song E=MC2 by J Dilla has had a huge influence on me. Otherwise, I cannot speak to the affect of this formula on me, because it is me and I am it. The relationship between myself and this formula is beyond words.
How would you compare the four “forces”?
The four forces seem to denote varying scales of interaction between objects. Gravity, the weakest, and the most large scale force, brings the earth towards the sun, the moon towards the earth, and our solar system, itself, toward the great swallowing abyss at the center of our galaxy. The 'weak force' is stronger than gravity, but works on a much smaller scale; it causes subatomic particles to transform into each other due to proximity. Thus, a proton can become an electron by losing some of its positive force to a larger form. Electromagnetic force helps electrons form bonds to each other, which make up our entire known existence. Finally, strong force, the most powerful force, acts on the smallest scale. Strong force keeps protons and neutrons together based on their established close proximity. This keeps atomic structures from constantly falling to entropy due to the previous force, electromagnetic force.
What is the function of gravity?
Anything with mass has a gravitational pull. The gravity of the Sun pulls the earth towards it. Unfortunately, or maybe luckily, human being do not possess enough mass to pull things towards us. This thought can either make us feel insignificant or very free by the infinitesimal effect of of our actions. According to NASA's website:Albert Einstein described gravity as a curve in space that wraps around an object—such as a star or a planet. If another object is nearby, it is pulled into the curve. (1)
